Complex carbohydrates and simple carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates are divided into two kinds, complex carbohydrates (grains, pulses, vegetable starch) and simple carbohydrates (fruit, milk, sugar processing). In food composition tables on the box, the "pure-carbohydrate" and other carbohydrates (food, fiber, alcohol, glycerin) together is the total amount of carbohydrate.
